General description

SGT-600 is a light weight heavy duty machine. It has compact two shaft unit, suitable for both mechanical drive and power generation applications. It is operates in a simple, open cycle with straight gas and airflows through the gas turbine.
The main parts of gas turbine are : the gas generator and the power turbine.
The gas generator consistes of compressor, combustion chamber and compressor turbine. The compressor feeds the combustion chamber with compressed air. In the combustion chamber chamberfuel is mixed with air and combustion takes place. The hot gases pass through the turbine driving the gas generator power turbine module. After that the hot gases expand through the power turbine.
The whole plant , which is housed in a steel frame and steel clad building, is often divided into two sections: the auxiliary room and the gas generator room.
